Overview of EMI/EMC Test Facility (ETF)

A state-of-the-art EMI/EMC test and measurement facility has been set up in Electronics Corporation of India Limited, Hyderabad which is strategically located to support Electro-Magnetic Interference / Compatibility conformal testing of Electronic Products.

The testing labs are equipped with world class equipment to test electronic products for applications in the Nuclear, Defence, Space, Telecom, Railways, Medical, Consumer Electronics and other important sectors in the areas of Strategic Electronics.

Electronic systems can be subjected to testing and certification across a wide range of global standards, such as MIL-STD-461 E/F/G, IEC/EN, CISPR, etc.

With a view to serve the requirements of the chosen sectors, ETF has set up infrastructure comprising of 10-meter Semi Anechoic Chamber with integrated 4 meter turn table having a load bearing capacity of 5 tons. Sheltered vehicles weighing up to 30 ton with an axle weight of up to 12 tonnes can be accommodated inside the chamber.

In addition to this, there are labs for Bulk Cable Injection, Conducted RF, Transient, Common mode disturbance and Power Quality related testing. Shielding effectiveness tests for shelters with minimum dimension >2m are also conducted as per IEEE 299.

The test facility is accredited by NABL as per ISO/IEC 17025:2017 Standard and designated by TEC as Conformity Assessment Body (CAB) for the mandatory testing of Telecommunication Equipment.
